Liberty Broadband Corporation, a cable operator, provides video, Internet, and voice services to residential and commercial customers in the United States. It operates through Skyhook and Charter segments. The Skyhook segment offers a Wi-Fi based location platform that provides positioning technology and contextual location intelligence solutions. This segment also provides technology for locating wireless phones and other mobile devices that enables carriers and emergency personnel to offer E-9-1-1 services; and services in support of commercial applications, and national security and law enforcement. The Charter segment offers subscription-based video services, including video on demand, high definition television, digital video recorder, and digital set-top box services; and voice services, such as local and long distance calling, voicemail, call waiting, caller ID, call forwarding, and other services, as well as international calling services. It also provides Internet services, such as in-home Wi-Fi product that permits customers to lease wireless routers; out-of-home Wi-Fi services; and a security suite that provides protection against computer viruses and spyware. In addition, this segment offers Internet access, data networking, video entertainment, and business telephone services, as well as fiber connectivity to cellular towers and office buildings; and sells advertising on cable television networks, as well as regional sports and news networks distribution, and security and home management services. The company is based in Englewood, Colorado.
